Barbara Summers
Director, Business Development, NW Natural Gas
 Barbara Summers is responsible for regulated and nonregulated business development. Prior to joining Northwest Natural Gas Co., she held similar positions with PacifiCorp and Scottish Power as vice president, business development; and as vice president, PacifiCorp power marketing (now PPM). Summers has been active in the energy and telecommunications industries for more than 30 years concentrating on developing new business opportunities, strategic business relationships and joint ventures, and short- and long-term strategies. She was responsible for Northwest Natural’s recent joint venture with Encana — to invest in natural gas reserves on behalf of its retail customers. Summers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Portland State University.
