Porter Bennett, president and CEO of Ponderosa Advisors, founded BENTEK Energy in 1985 and sold it to Platts/McGraw-Hill in 2011. During his tenure at BENTEK, he led the evolution of the company from an energy-industry consulting firm specializing in supply and demand analysis to today's leading provider of market information and analysis for the natural gas, NGL and oil industries. Bennett holds an M.S. in mineral economics from the Colorado School of Mines, an M.A. in international affairs from Columbia University and a B.A. in history from Lewis & Clark College.
